Library reopens for return of the borrowed items

  1. On 25 May the JU MC Medical Library reopens but only for return of the borrowed items. The institute libraries (of the Dental Institute, Institute of Nursing and Midwifery, Institute of Paediatrics and the Institute of Public Health) will remain closed until the end of the 2019-2020 academic year.

Regardless of the place of borrowing, returns will be accepted at the main library building (20, Grzegórzecka Street) from 25 May till the end of July. In August and September the Medical Library will be moving from its temporary locations (Grzegórzecka Street and closed stacks in Morawica) to the renovated building at Medyczna Street. From October 2020, the borrowed items should be returned to the Medical Library at Medyczna Street. Fines for overdue items will not be charged.

For your safety during the coronavirus outbreak, please contact the Lending Desk (tel. 12 433 27 77; email: wypozyczenia@cm-uj.krakow.pl) to make an appointment. All users coming to the Medical Library should wear masks. Before entering the Lending Desk, you should sanitize your hands, put on gloves and read carefully the book return procedure.

  2. Reading rooms will remain closed.

  3. JU MC staff, faculty and students can benefit from the Medical Library collections of e-books and e-journals and other library services available on our webpage. Outside the Jagiellonian University network, access to the Library’s electronic collections via the HAN system is possible.
